High Performance Computing Network Administrator
Purpose
This position provides network administration support to the Army Research Laboratory’s DoD
Supercomputing Resource Center. |
Duties and Responsibilities
Candidate will work as part of a team to provide System Administration support to the High
Performance Computing Modernization Program. The support will include, but not be limited to: • Installing and supporting LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems. • Utilizing access from command line and GUI interfaces to configure and troubleshoot issues on devices. • Utilizing network monitoring tools such as NetScout, Ehealth, and Spectrum to support and provide network operational status on a day-to- day basis. • Read and produce network diagrams. • Install, configure, and test networking devices. • Evaluate and report on new technologies to enhance the capabilities of the data network. • Make recommendations for upgrades to meet the high availability demands. • Propose solutions to management to provide data communications requirements based upon future needs and current usage. |
Qualifications
Education: BA/BS
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: • Experience working with Cisco, Arista, Brocade or Juniper networking equipment. • CCENT certification or equivalent from another network vendor Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • CCNA certification • Security+ certification |
